The Chalet

The chalet is located in the traditional village of Praz Sur Arly in a pretty wooded setting just 5km from Megeve. The ski slopes are just 700 metres from the chalet and the village just 800 metres.

This spacious residence is 220m2 and the land surrounding it is 1300m2. The chalet is newly constructed in a contemporary style with a light and airy feel thanks to the many windows. Natural materials were used in the construction of the chalet, including sheeps wool for the insulation as well as wood fibre and organic paints. The chalet is very ecological with a system of rain water recycling, a boiler run on wood chippings with an interior wood store. The type of wood used in the construction of the chalet is traditional Meleze.

There are three floors to the chalet with a laundry and garage with automatic door for 3 cars underground; an entrance hall, wc, kitchen, dining room and living room on the ground floor; an independant living area with fireplace, bedroom with bathroom and dressing room on the half floor; and 3 bedrooms (including one with a mezzanine), a bathroom and playroom on the first floor.Outside there is a large south facing terrace and a balcony made from Meleze wood is currently being built.

The Location

Praz sur Arly is a charming traditional village located just 5 km from the popular resort of Megeve. It is located in the Haute Savoie region, approximately one hour from Geneva International Airport. The resort is part of the Espace Diamant ski area with 185km of piste with slopes up to 2000 metres. The other resorts making up the ski area are Les Saisie, Notredame de Bellecombe, Flumet and Volant Cohennoz.

From the residence you are a mere 10 minutes drive to Cannes -the Playground of the rich and famous. The stunning promenade of the Croisette with its Palace hotels, Carlton, Majestic and Martinez, running in parallel with the rue d’Antibes with its end to end boutiques full of Mediterranean chic. Internationally renowned for the annual Film Festival as well as many other exhibitions held at the Palais des Festival throughout the year. The adjacent Old Port and the cobble stoned street Le Suquet offers a multitude of restaurants from gourmet to casual.

The leading golf centre on the French Riviera, Mandelieu la Napoule is home to the prestigious “Old Course” which was built in 1891.
