Les Contamines, in the heart of the Mont Blanc ski area, close to St Gervais, Megeve and Combloux is a traditional, Savoyard village, only one hours drive from Geneva airport.
With over 120km of pistes in the spectacular Les Contamines-Montjoie/Hauteluce ski area, the mountains rise to 2500m in this snow-sure region; there is something for everyone including fantastic off-piste skiing, free-riding in the X-Zones and 26km of cross-country trails.
Take the Evasion lift pass and you will enjoy the 450km of ski slopes in the Mont Blanc region. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skier or boarder Les Contamines offers a fantastic skiing experience from an unspoilt and family-friendly Savoyard village.
There are numerous additional activities in the village including an ice rink, snow-shoeing, dog sledding, sleigh rides, paragliding - to name but a few - and there is also a magnificent Nature Reserve offering a haven of calm in 5500 hectares of land including glaciers, lakes, cliffs and varied fauna and flora.
In summer there are walking trails by the river right to the end of the valley, tennis courts and for the more adventurous an amazing tree-climbing challenge.
Chalet LAster des Alpes
Centrally located on the main street (soon to be pedestrianised) in the pretty village of Les Contamines, the Chalet LAster des Alpes is a small, traditional style development of only nine apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms.
The fully-equipped kitchen is included in the price and each apartment will have a terrace or balcony, a private underground parking space, cave and ski store. The apartments will have parquet floors and there will be a choice of tiles to finish the bathroom and kitchen.
A great benefit for the top floor apartments is that they will have a wood burning stove to welcome you back at the end of a great days skiing!
